You have to eat nutritious foods that are high in calories. Like for instance breads, vegetables such as potatoes, beans, corn, meat, fish as well as poultry. Do not limit yourself from eating foods that are rich in calories but do not eat too much because too much calories in your body is not good.
You have to watch your meal time. Avoid skipping meals, consistent eating helps you to gain weight. Some people think that it is not bad to skip meals. Like for instance you forgot to eat your breakfast and you want to make it up by eating too much during lunch time. What will be the result? Do you think it helps?
